Reebok Nano X5 Debuts at TYR Wodapalooza in Miami

The Reebok Nano X5 made its debut last weekend in Miami Beach, FL.

  • The newest iteration of the iconic shoe was released on Friday, January 24, and Reebok athletes Fee Saghafi, Linda Keesman, and Elisa Fuliano competed in the brand-new kicks at 2025 TYR Wodapalooza.

Remind Me

In mid-December, Reebok shared that the new Nano X5 was set to be released at the end of January. Last month, Morning Chalk Up writer Teaganne Finn spoke to product designer Tal Short about the new Nano and the innovations made to the “Official Shoe of Fitness.”

  • “The latest model truly pays homage to the iterations that came before it, taking [lessons] and some fan-favorite features to create the latest Official Shoe of Fitness that sets a new industry standard,” Short said.

2025 TYR Wodapalooza provided the perfect stage to release the new Nanos and demonstrate their style, versatility, and performance.

What They’re Saying

As Fuliano, Keesman, and Saghafi were preparing for a full weekend ahead, we were able to catch up with them at CrossFit Miami Beach to chat about the competition, their preparation, and their partnership with Reebok.

A TYR Wodapalooza rookie, Linda Keesman took on two divisions as she was set to compete as an Individual and as part of the Reebok team. Having no prior team experience, she was looking forward to throwing down alongside Saghafi and Fuliano.

  • “I feel like the team is more fun and less stressful. I feel like most people come to (TYR) Wodapalooza for a good time instead of only performance, so I feel like I’ll get the full experience,” Keesman told Morning Chalk Up.

She said that while this combination of the three women was new, they had some shared experience training together in the past.

  • “We know each other. I trained with Fee this summer when I was doing Games prep at Training Think Tank so we would train together on weekends. It’s how I got to know her for the first time. Elisa, I know from Dubai and Semifinals and the Games. This combination is new, though,” Keesman said.

However, these are elite athletes who know how to adapt, and after minimal preparation together, they finished their final run-throughs feeling confident.

  • “We got touches on the worm yesterday. It started out slow, just acclimating, getting our go-to cues, brushing up on details and getting into a good flow and rhythm, but at this point, we feel really good,” Saghafi said.

As the kick-off for the competition edged closer, the women were focused but excited, and they agreed that the weekend’s competition had them feeling lighter compared to other events.

  • “(TYR) Wodapalooza has one of the coolest vibes. I’m feeling less pressure, even though it is one of the competitions I’m counting on the most, and I really like this because I’m trying to enjoy more competitions and feel less pressure. […] I feel like in this competition, we can have fun again,” Fuliano said. She has competed at TYR Wodapalooza three times before this year.

As the weekend came to a close, the leaderboard settled and Team Reebok finished in 10th place out of the 40 teams that competed.

A Thriving Partnership

It was with immense pride that Fuliano, Keesman, and Saghafi were able to represent Reebok while competing in Miami.

Fuliano shared with us her origins with Reebok and how the partnership has become such an honor.

  • “I’ve always worn Reebok even before they were my sponsor, so I started doing CrossFit with Nanos, and I’m so glad that after years, it became a sponsor of mine,” Fuliano shared.

She went on to say that Reebok has always stood out for her as a brand that aligns with her values of putting people first. She shared that she has never felt like she is a number, but instead a priority for Reebok and part of a family.

  • “Reebok was my first shoe when I started doing CrossFit, Reebok was the first shoe that I looked for, it was my first gift from family members when they found out that I was doing CrossFit, so years went by and I got the opportunity with Reebok and it felt like I always had a connection to them through their brand,” Saghafi added.

Saghafi also spoke about the connection she has with the brand, one that aligns with who she is as an athlete and as a person, prioritizing her well-being.

As the training session was wrapping up for the day, Saghafi pointed out that they would be wearing the Nano X5s throughout the weekend and that they’d be easy to spot and photograph. With the bright white colorway and the burnt orange and teal soles, she was right — just as the ladies’ strength and poise stood out in the crowd, so did the shoes.

Best Pre-Workout Supplements of 2023 For Weight Loss Muscle Gain and More

One of the most popular supplements on the market, people often turn to pre-workouts for help increasing energy, blood flow, endurance, power, and sometimes hydration. If all of your education about electrolytes has come from commercials on television or ads on social media, you’ve probably grown convinced of the fact that you’re probably not getting enough of them… whatever they are. It can be difficult to convince someone of their need for a nutrient if you can’t plainly articulate what that nutrient is, where it comes from, or what it accomplishes that’s of any tangible value.
