The 2024 International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) World Championships in Manama, Bahrain, from Dec. 6-15, 2024, has continued to blaze new pages in the record books before new weight categories become the norm in June 2025. Ruk Si of North Korea, competing in the Women’s 64KG class, was among those who forged into new territory that no one else in her weight category had previously gone before. She scored the overall gold medal, thanks to her world record total of 246 kilograms, half of which comprised a 149-kilogram world record clean & jerk. The 2025 Arnold Sports Festival (ASF) will be held in Columbus, OH, on Feb. 27 – March 2, 2025. The main attraction of the ASF is the contest that started it all — the Arnold Classic bodybuilding event. The 37th edition of the Arnold Classic features seven of the IFBB Professional League’s 11 divisions. The promoters announced the rosters for those competitions on Friday, Dec. 13, 2024. The Arnold Classic is an invite-only contest, meaning athletes had to apply to enter. The rosters for each contest are below, with names in alphabetical order.
